Sergeant McConachie of the 94th Bomb Group with his L-5 Sentinel (serial number 42-99306). Handwritten caption on reverse: 'L-5 Liaison Pilot Courier Flew Pattern to Check Lights. Sgt. McConachie.'- - - - - - - - - - Stinson L-5 Sentinel s/n 42-99306 was constructed the first week of April, 1944. Crated and shipped via the New York Port of Embarkation., it arrived in the U.K. on 13 May. Assigned to the Ninth Air Force, it went to Continental Europe on 31 July, 1944. Condemned for salvage 17 March, 1947, its assignment was terminated on 19 November, European Theater.
