Research into Clyde Ray Simmons was initiated by the purchase of his canvas flight bag on ebay which had his name, rank and number. Further information was obtain through the air accident report, newspaper reports, Sudbury (Suffolk) Heritage Centre Photo Archive, a multiple websites including that of the 486 Bomb Group and FamilySearch, and from the Simmons family who gave permission for information and photo of Clyde Ray Simmons to be used on this database.
