A bomber crew of the 95th Bomb Group with their B-17 Flying Fortress in Florida. Handwritten caption on reverse: ' Our Crew, Top Row, Left to Right: Bob-Fitz Lenny, Co-Pilot, California.Tom Gibson, Pilot, Tennessee. Bill Bell, Navigator, Pennsylvania. R.E. Nairn, Togglier/Armorer, Maryland. ? did not go into combat with us. Bottom Row: L-R Bernie Hagamon, Tail Gunner, Illinois. Dick Mawell, Engineer-Gunner, Illinois. Dick DeRanney, Ball Turret Gunner, Long Island, New York. "Rebel" Mayers, Radio Operater/Gunner, Florida. We arrived north corner Ireland in early Jan 45 then flew to Valley (?) Wales and then were transported by train to Horham. The pilot, co-pilot and engineer flew our B-17 to E. Anglia.'
