The body of Co-pilot 2nd Lt John R. Vlymen Jr. was found washed ashore near Bøtø on 1/8 at 13:00 and was by a detail of 4./D XVIII taken to Nykøbing where it was laid to rest in Nykøbing East cemetery on 2/8 1944
