'Hopelessly Discouraged' Sketch of Bernard Tuvman, 1944 I can’t imagine being locked up as a prisoner and not knowing what tomorrow will bring. Additionally dad had an H stamped on his American dog tag which indicated that he was a Jew. A Jew in the hands of the Germans was not a good combination. He was very lucky to have survived the war let alone jump out of his plane and survive being a POW.
