Assigned to the 369th Fighter Squadron on 29 December 1943, he flew 300 combat hours with the 359th Fighter Group before completing his combat tour of duty on 15 September 1944 and returning home to Syracuse, NY. Aircraft included P-47D IV-Z 42-75048 and P-52B IV-Z 43-12435. Cpl. Robert B. Lynskey, armorer.
