Capt. James E. Gott, Navigator on the B-24 Liberator Hot Stuff, the first heavy bomber in the 8th Air Force to complete 25 missions.

    After completing their missions, the crew of 'Hot Stuff' B-24 41-23728 was tasked with flying General Frank Andrews, commanding general of the USAAF in the ETO to the US. The plane crashed in Iceland killing all but the tailgunner.
