The whereabouts of the print of this photo, once framed and in the possession of his parents, is not known to us. This photocopied image is taken from the tribute publication SERVICE RECORD BOOK OF MEN AND WOMEN OF SHERIDAN-WILLAMINA, OREGON AND COMMUNITIES [ca. 1946]. The title page and the page including this photo were mailed to me by the Willamina Museum of Local History.

The book was published by the Willamina Post (No. 4211) of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and assisted by the Sheridan Business Men. To address the copyright/permission matter, I telephoned the current president of the auxiliary, Vickie Rober, and explained my wish to upload a photo to your site. This is the only suitable military photo of Cecil we know of, and this tribute book is the only location we know of right now. Mrs. Rober said she was unfamiliar with such requests but had no objection, so I replied I would go ahead and post it and, if I hear from her that it shouldn't be on your site, will plan to remove it.
