"Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses of the U.S. 8th Air Force's Third Air Division bomb German communications at Chemnitz marshalling yard, Germany, near Dresden on Feb 6, 1945. Cutting of rail lines here aided in shutting off the flow of supplies to the to the German front. 1,300 Boeing B-17's and Consolidated B-24's bombed this and many other industrial and rail targets throughout central Germany."
