Enlargement of photograph from the collection of the Late George Schatz, believed to be taken during August 1944,:and showing B-17 G “Peggy” in formation. Although indistinct, the faint outline of letters g,g,y, can be seen beneath the cockpit.
This is the only known photograph of this aircraft at this time. It was part of the 600th squadron , 398th BG.
