IMAGE"STOPPED BUT NOT DESTROYED, this Nazi rolling stock, somewhere in France. Fighter bomber pilots of the U.S. Army 8th Air Force made the attack. With Allied ground troops close behind there was no necessity for the pilots to completely obliterate the valuable supplies. Three trians were held up on the single track line in the vicinity of Chartres when the fighter bomber pilots knocked the key freight cars off the track. Advancing allied ground troops took over the train and its valuable cargo."
