Brig. Gen. Leon W. Johnson and Brig. Gen. Malcolm Grow, Chief surgeon of U.S. Army Air forces in ETO, and eight members of bomber crews recently visited a factory which manufactures flak suits and helmets. The eight crew members owe their lives to flak suits. During the visit, Tom Beasley, oldest employee of the factory, presented Brig Gen Johnson and Brig Gen Grow with commando knives.
