Information added to B-17 42-30249 which was manufactured at Boeing a by user Phil Marchese states, that the depicted aircraft is not 42-30249: 'Associated image is a much earlier B-17F-DL from Douglas, Long Beach production. Note the cowl and nose demarcations are each higher than those from Seattle. Perhaps a digit has been mistakenly interjected in the identification. Serial range 42-30XX and 42-3XXX were from Long Beach .'
