This P-51D "Donna J" was "cracked up" by Lt. Robert Wiehe on January 17, 1945 from engine failure/fire. Wiehe made a wheels up landing 2.5 miles SE of RAF Wattisham, Suffolk, England and walked away. The plane #44-14808 was written off. This was the regular aircraft of Lt. Billy J. Murray.
