Lt. George S. "Stoney" Montgomery from the 351st FS/353rd FG, 8th AAF flying out of Raydon AF, Suffolk, England from August 18th 1944 until April 1945. Montgomery would complete his tour with 2.5 aerial victories. He hailed from Opelika, AL. Montogomery trained at Coleman, Greenville, and Eagle Pass, Texas along with squadron mates Lt.s Walter E. Murphey, Billy J. Murray, and John M. Nicklebur. All would survive the war.
