Lt. Billy Murray 353rd FG 351FS shot down this ME262 fighter on January 14, 1945. In a flight with Lt. John W. Rohrs and Lt. George Rosen, Murray led and bounced the left of two ME262 fighters. Murray shot this one up and the pilot bailed out. Rosen and Rohrs were credited each with half a kill for downing the second. The action occurred around the Dummer Lake area of Germany after escorting B-17s to the target.
