Original USAAF caption “Man in cockpit of plane connecting his G-Suit. England – 10 August 1944.” Thanks to USAAF photo 60021 AC (UPL 23082 on this site), the link could be made to Lt Myer Winkelman. G-Suits, or anti-g force suits, were meant to prevent a black-out in case of excessive acceleration and were first tested in operation in 1944.
