Tribute created for: 1Lt John H. Allen, pilot of B-24 #42-7554 , 445th BG, 702nd BS , KIA 22 DEC 1943, Mirns, Friesland, the Netherlands. The photo in the middle was recovered by a local Dutchman from the crash site, it is a piece of Lt Allen's ID card. The 1942 Texas A&M year book cover is from for his graduating class. 2 photos of Lt Allen in ROTC. His B-24 crashed into the bell tower in the Mirns cemetery (Mirns, the Netherlands). The photo of the tower is after it was rebuilt. The photo with the 2 boys is after the crash. 1 of the boys, now 81 was at Mirns on 11 NOV 2015 attending the event.
