466th BG Mission Route Map 1 May 1944 - Liege, Belgium M/Y This mission was scheduled to leave at 1300. It was called off at 1330 and the crews were released to go back to their barracks. It was put back "on" again at 1445 for a 1515 takeoff. This didn't exactly set well with the crews! Take off finally happened at 1530. No fighter opposition, but plenty of flak. Heavy ground haze during let down. Nine crews flew both missions this day, with takeoff times 13 hours apart.
