    Planned for RAF use, Kimbolton airfield was built by W and C French Ltd. in 1941. The airfield was increased in size to accommodate a full US heavy Bomb Group, and the first such unit to us it was the 91st Bomb Group, who arrived in September 1942....

Cross reference to mission log, and hand written caption from photographer. 3/19/45 mission over Plauen crossed from 8th AAF records showing aircraft flew 127 total missions. Handwritten caption shows "Carol Dawn - 125 missions" the 125th mission in aircraft mission log was 3/19/45 over Paulen. Photographer E.D. Crenshaw (radio operator) mission log also shows Plauen on 3/19/45. Photo scanned from family album.
