B-17F "The BIGASSBIRD" serial #42-30148. Salvaged after a crash landing at Station 127 in England. The Bigassbird WAS F/O Owen "Cowboy" Roane's plane he flew over from the States to England. Had to belly into Little Staughton , reason unknown. Thus, the first Bigassbird of Cowboys career. Would later name his second plane Bigassbird II.
