Twenty-five 466th BG aircraft dropped 64.5 tons of bombs on target. There was fighter opposition. The Fawver Crew (#525) of the 785th BS was badly shot up and two of gunners bailed out and were made POW. The Czapko crew lost six feet of their right wing due to enemy fire but made it back safely.
