2Lt Erwin J. Bevins, Jr., returning home after 473 day of hiding in Holland. Lt Bevins was the co-pilot on B-24 #42-7554 "Tail End Charlie", crashed into the cemetery in Mirns, Netherlands. He was able to bail out, and the Dutch Resistance/Underground found him first, and hid him until the end of the war.
