1st Lt Shelton Monroe of the 334th Fighter Squadron. On 8 April 1944, he destroyed an Fw 190, then, when out of ammunition, kept a second one busy until it could be destroyed by 1st Lt Albert Schlegel of the 335th Fighter Squadron.
