Benno Thomas Zemke, father of Fighter Ace Hubert Zemke of the 56th Fighter Group, with friends during a hunting trip. Zemke has handwritten on the reverse: 'Before 1910. My father (4th from left) and his hunting cronies on a Montana deer hunting trip in the wild Swan River country. It took three days by horse and buggie to reach the remote area then, now an hour on a paved road. The limit then was five deer per individual. No limit on bear, cougar coyotes or wolves. Note the German ceremonial forestry sword he always wore and the jack boots.'
