It was taken just outside the main pilot briefing complex. The 'Brass' were visiting as part of a tour of 8th Fighter bases and, no doubt, to check out Col. Duncan's suggestions for a specialized strafing squadron. The day after their visit, General Kepner authorized Col. Duncan to set up the specialized squadron named 'Bill's Buzz Boys' in Kepner's honour.
