Benno and Anna Zemke, the parents of Colonel Hubert Zemke, commanding Officer of the 56th Fighter Group. Zemke has handwritten on the reverse: 'My Mother and father at the time of their marriage in Chicago, Illinois in 1910. Returning to Missoula, Montana to resume his work- first as a locomotive firemant then an engineer- they continued to reside there for most of their lives. I was born in Missoula 12 March 1914.'
