A B-17F Flying Fortress (serial number 42-30827) nicknamed "Round Trip Ticket III" of the 385th Bomb Group, after making an emergency landing at at North Weald, 28 June 1944. The inability to feather the No 4 engine resulted in one of the propellers damaging the aircraft. Official caption on image: "ISAD - 28 June 44 (1733) - W.P.U. B-17F - 42-30827 - North Weald W.S."
