[stamp]. Printed caption on reverse: '7/5/44 AMERICA AT WAR US THUNDERBOLTS WAIT FOR THEIR "RAINCOATS". Their openings and joints sealed by tape, these US P-47 Thunderbolt fighter-bombers are lined up at a US coastal base to receive a final protective plastic coat or "raincoat" before shipment overseas. They are a few of hundreds of war planes shipped or flown weekly from US factories to join the fight against the enemy from US and Allied bases all over the globe. This sturdy, eight gunned aircraft equipped with a new "paddle blade" propeller and a water injection carburettor system that given an extra spurt of power in an emergency can fight at varied altitudes or pack two 1,000 pound (450 Kilogram) bombs for low-level or dive bombing. NOT FOR USE IN WESTERN HEMISPHERE.'
