Ouston
AirfieldOpened in 1941 as an RAF Fighter Station ; continued in its training role after the war. In 1967 it was used as a civilian airport during the expansion of Newcastle Airport. Its modern role is that of a highly secure military operation known as Albemarle Barracks.
