William Feraco, served in the 386 Bomb Group, 552 Squadron, flying out of Great Dunmow. He was a member of the Horizontal Helen crew that crash landed on August 16, 1944 that are photographed on this site. All crew members survived the landing, with much credit given to the skills of the pilot, Fred Eiler. Willie, as he was known, was born in Nutley, NJ and passed away in 2011 at the age of 87 in Pittsburgh.
