Personal research & 'The Debden Warbirds' by Frank E. Speer.
Lt. William G. Spencer of the 334th Fighter Squadron, in late 1945 became a Jack-of-all-trades as he was fulfilling his duties as a combat pilot. He was assigned additional duties as Intelligence Officer, Squadron Historian, and Director of the 4th Group Mens' Chorus. Thanks to Lt. Spencer's foresight, the Squadron's diaries were saved for future generations.
