William F Evans was my father's oldest brother. In conversations with him from 2003-2004, he told me he was a tail gunner With Gerry Carrazzone's crew. He is incorrectly listed in existing crew photo as ball turret gunner, but he was 6 feet tall and would not have been a good fit for that role. He stayed in touch with Al Kester and Gerry Carrazzone constantly until his death in March of 2004.
