Borellis was Bomadier/Navigator with the 324th Squadron 91st Bomber Group completing 36 combat missions during the Second World War. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Colonel and went on to work for Hughes Nevada Corporation. He afterwards became chief architect and project manager for the USAA building in San Antonio and an instructor in th School of Engineering at the University of Texas. he died May 2001 and was survived by his wife Eileen and two sons.
