William E Masters
Military ROLL OF HONOURWilliam Masters served as a ball turret gunner with the 704th Bomb Squadron of the 446th Bomb Group, flying missions out of Bungay, England. On 4 August 1944, he was flying in B-24 Dry Run #4129137 when it was shot down by flak and crashed at Bussin. Masters was killed and his body was not recovered. His name is commemorated on the Tablets of the Missing at Cambridge American Cemetery. He is also remembered at New Hope Cemetery, Jackson County, TN.
