Wayne Livesay
His son Ron
Wayne Livesay completed 25 missions, went home, and volunteered to go back for another tour of duty, hoping to become a lead navigator. It is believed it was his eighth mission of his second tour when he was shot down. The plane in which he was shot down was nicknamed "Lucille Ball."
He passed away in '09 at the age of 87, but the time as a POW definitely took a toll on him.
A Transcript of his memoirs, recorded by his son can be found here. https://buffalonoise.blogspot.com/2009/11/my-military-service-life-by-w…
