They all served in the 8th Air Force in England, but at different bases. He flew 34 missions, the last 7 as Command Navigator.

Lt. Hollopeter flew 34 missions, the final 7 as Command Navigator. He remained in the Air Force after WWII, eventually reaching the rank of Major. He was killed in the crash of a KB50 refueling airplane at Biggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas, in 1961.
