Post War: Remained in the USAF having a distinguished career as a fighter pilot for 27 years. Retiring from the service he then had a 15 year career as a corporate pilot before retiring to Montgomery as a gentleman farmer in 1984. Unsurprisingly flying as well as, trout fishing, deer hunting, reading and studying WWII history were all passions of his, things that he excelled at.
