2nd Lieutenant Victor T. McConnell
This is a family picture
Killed while testing fighter- Victor was from Minnesota. I only know him from letters I have read that he wrote to my mother as a child. In one letter he wrote that she should pray for the baby Jesus to watch over him and bring him home.
In researching the many accidents associated with the planes these pilots were entrusting with their lives, I am shocked of the number of fires associated with the allison engine, as was the case with Victor's plane.
