S-Sgt. V. Timman reported missing over German soil



Word has been received here by Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Timman of Terry Arcade that

their son, S/Sgt. Vernon, an Aerial Engineer on a B-17, has been reported

missing in action over German soil on Oct. 3. The parents received a letter

written on Oct. 2nd in which Vernon stated had had already received the Air

Medal and was in good health.



Vernon's wife, who received the War Department message, and daughter reside

in Denver, Colo.



S/Sgt. Timman enlisted in the Army Air Corps at Denver, Colo., in Sept.,

1940. He saw training at Chanute Field, Victorville, Cal., Kingman Ariz.,

Minneapolis, Minn., Alexandria, La., and Kearney, Neb.
