Staff Sergeant Vance K. Jeffers was born November 24, 1920. His next of kin were his wife Virginia Jeffers, his father, Thomas Jeffers, and his brother, Charles Jeffers. His hometown was Bladen, Ohio.



On February 6, 1945, he was the Left Waist Gunner aboard “Gremlin’s Roost,” B-24 tail #42-50505 of the 93rd Bomb Group, 330th Bomb Squadron, when the plane went down over Akersloot, Netherlands.



He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
