"For gallantry in action while on a bombing mission over Germany 29 Jan 1944 (Frankfurt), T/Sgt T Urmson, a top turret gunner was awarded the Silver Star. Wounded and knocked unconscious, he later revived, returned to his guns and fought off enemy attack."
