MACR 7224 contains a report of his identification and initial burial. He was found dead at the crash site. He could not be identified by his ID tags. He was instead identified by a 'shield with chain' worn around his left arm. Engraved on the shield were the words 'HANDS OFF THIS GUY IS MINE, SARA. Russ Jones 33562669'
