This is at Martlesham Heath and shows the Station Fire Chief explaining the American Fire Truck to local AFS personnel. From the records there were very good relationships between the base fire fighters and the local brigades. The base firemen would attend any local aircraft incident to assist the AFS units. The crash could involve big quantities of fuel, gun ammunition and bomb loads with single or multi airmen involved.
