Robert R Blakewell

Military

Robert R. Blakewell, from Lincoln, Nebraska, was flight crew in a B-24, and was shot down on February 17, 1944, over Italy, by the Hermann Goring Division Anti Aircraft Batteries. I have not ordered the Missing Air Crew Report yet, as I just bought a WWII German soldier's photo album with photos of his plane in pieces on the ground, and a Cross erected by the Germans from the H.G. Division, for Robert and 2 of his crew members, who are unidentified. Will add more information when I get it. He was flying a B 24 bomber, serial number 42-52315.
