Robert G Mumaw
MilitaryShot down 6 March 1943 in B-17F 42-5130 'Sweet Pea', 306BG/367BS while serving as Tail Gunner. The aircraft was on a mission to bomb the U-Boat pens at Lorient, France. Flak caused damage to aircraft and he baled out and was captured as a Prisoner of War (POW) at Stalag 7A Moosburg Bavaria 48-12 (Work Camps 3324-46 Krumbachstrasse 48011, Work Camp 3368 Munich 48-11). He completed 12 missions. After the 306th he was 1st Sergeant. 305th Organizational Maintenance Squadron. He retired 14 Jan 1969.
