Raynham, MA | 13 May 2012 | Robert E. Stevens, 89 years old, died in Life Care Center of Raynham, Monday afternoon, May 13, 2012. He was born in Somerville, son of the late Earle and Lillian (Paul) Stevens. He was a graduate of Medford High School and was a 1949 graduate of Tufts University. He was retired from Polaroid Corp. as a process control engineer. Bob was a former trustee and choir member of Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the King David Lodge of Mason for over 45 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and was the secretary of the 447the Bomb Group. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Taunton Civic Choirs, the Gospel Singers and the Encore Singers. Bob enjoyed biking, running, and listening to his various musical tapes especially the bag pipes. He was the husband of Florence (Langille) Stevens of Raynham; and the father of three daughters and one son. Bob was the grandfather of 18; and great-grandfather of 23; and the uncle of several. |
