Cumru Township, PA | 26 July 2003 | Richard E. Gable, 80, of Kenny Drive, Cumru Township, chairman of a local company that he founded, died July 26 at 1 a.m. in his residence. He was the husband of Madeline H. (Haag) Gable. Gable was the founder of Misco Products Corp., a Bern Township manufacturer of cleaning products, and served as its president from 1962 until 1987. He was also chairman of the Misco board until his death. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edmund and Bessie (Erb) Gable. He was a 1940 graduate of Shillington High School and a 1947 graduate of Albright College. Gable was an Air Force veteran of World War II, and received the distinguished flying cross. He is also survived by a son, and two daughters. Other survivors include a brother. There are also six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. |
