56th Fighter Group Captains Ralph Johnson and Walker "Bud" Mahurin after returning to their base and finding packages from home. Official caption on back: "PACKAGES FROM HOME—Two Fighter Pilots of the Eighth Air Force Fighter Command return to their base, somewhere in England, and are delighted to see that the mail is in and each has a couple of packages from home. Left to right, they are pilots: Capt. Ralph Johnson and Capt. Walker Mahurin. Capt. Mahurin is Fighter Commands leading ace with 14 kills to his credit." 27 January 1944.
Fixed squadron association. Previously it had been the 363rd Squad. which is wrong.
