Staff Sergeant Pinckney Lackey was one of the first enlisted men to be assigned to the 335th Fighter Squadron. He had many duties in the Intelligence Section.

He was insightful enough to obtain permission to save a portion of the 'Tower Diary' which he had been ordered to burn.
